shop cooling and heating

I have a new shed for my woodworking hobby and was thinking of putting a split ac heat unit in. Has anyone used these in woodshop. the one i am looking at is 12000 big enough for 500 square feet the shed is 12 x 16 so just under 200 square. advantages and disadvantages.
