Yes, you can join the World Wide Wood Turners Meeting without coming to the website. While I would prefer you visit the site, and enjoy the contents each week, it is important you have an alternative.
There are some good reasons for having this information; (1) You find it frustrating to visit the website to get to the meeting, or (2) the website may go down and you need to get to the meeting.
There are various ways to get to the meeting. Conceptually, the methods are all the same, go to https://us02web.zoom.us, and enter the meeting id (86042552131). However, the method depends on the device you are using.
In each of the following cases, you will be creating a one-press button (shortcut) for you desktop. If pressed at the time of the meeting, it will take you to the meeting, .

- Launch the Safari web browser
- Navigate to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86042552131
- Wait for zoom page to load
- Tap the “Share Icon” (which looks like a square with an arrow pointing out of it, located at the bottom of the screen.)
- Scroll down the share options until you find the “Add to Home Screen” option.
- Tap “Add to Home Screen”
- On the top line of “Add to Home Screen” window, enter: WorldWideWoodTurners.
- Tap “Add” in the top-right corner of the “Add to Home Screen” window.
- The website icon will now appear on your home screen.
- You may now click the icon anytime and it will take you to the location of the meeting.
