Part 4> Woodturning Natural Wood Snowmen

Part Four: Woodturning a Natural Wood Snowman with Scott Hampton

I hope you will join me for this live interactive online event as I show how to create one of my favorite items during the holiday season. This snowman is full of cheer and will help bring a smile to everyone who greets him.

I like using natural wood, like sugar pine, and mesquite from my BBQ stash, without using any dyes or paints. Of course, you can use any woods you prefer. The natural wood gives this snowman a nice warm rustic look that fits in with any holiday home decorations.

This is a spindle turning project using just a few basic tools to complete the snowball body and the stove-pipe hat with a natural-edge brim. I also turn the carrot nose and pipe. And during this presentation I will show how to add special decorations to bring this fine fellow to life.

I hope to see you soon.
